Figure drawing

Photos never do justice to artworks but my phone can now take quite detailed ones. Best viewed on a larger screen than a phone if that’s convenient. I don’t usually count but I guess this is about 15-20 hours work, difficult to say. And it’s spread over about nine months. I have multiple projects going on at the same time so sometimes things get shelved a little bit. I’m going through lots of work that I have left or abandoned. In the past, I have been very guilty of leaving work and lacking the courage to see it through to completion. I can see I’ve been really selling myself short so I’m determined to finish as much work like this as possible and to the highest possible degree. i’m learning that the enemy of art is a sense of complacency and satisfaction before reaching the goal. The goal is something unreachable anyway. If we want to soar to the highest heights of our creativity, we have to have the spirit of pushing ourselves higher, still higher. The work can still be improved somehow.
