Laughing boy by Desiderio da Settignano. He created some of the nicest portraits of children in the early renaissance and throughout art history. I’ve always loved how he could capture the essence of childhood. I love the rippling wavy hair and the way he has finished the sculpture at the bottom with the carved fabric.
